Nuaris

Democratizing early cancer detection

Making MRI accessible worldwide through a radical reduction in cost. We are developing Ultra-Low-Field (ULF) technology for breast and prostate screening, directly in medical practices and mobile screening trucks.

Innovative magnetics

Halbach geometries with a target field strength of 100 mT eliminate the need for expensive, complex cryogenic cooling. The result is low capital and operating cost.

Physics & AI reconstruction

We use the T1 contrast advantage of low field and N-14 quadrupole resonance for tissue differentiation. AI-based algorithms and SENSE strategies optimize the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).

Clinical application

No structural shielding is required. An open design means no contrast-agent risk and less claustrophobia, making the system ideal as a complement to or replacement for mammography.

Ecosystem & roadmap

Focus & funding

Headquarters and research hub: Hamburg.

  • Startup grant and BSFZ research allowance
  • IFB Hamburg and BMBF/EXIST
  • Preparing for EU Horizon and the EIC Accelerator

Clinical validation

We work closely with leading institutions:

  • University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE)
  • Bundeswehr Hospital Hamburg
  • PTB Berlin
  • Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH)
